What was Paul’s Missionary Journeys Like

Before Jesus was taken up to heaven he said to his disciples, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16: 15 (KJV) After Jesus said this they did just that, they all went there ways preaching the gospel. Wile Jesus was still on earth he also said that they will experience persecutions. Since there is a whole book in the Bible call Acts written about Paul. What was the persecutions that Paul went through?

First off, how did some of the cities welcome Paul? Some welcomed Paul with open arms, and he would stay till the city refused him. But, many still believed. Once the word got out that Paul was in town, the priest in that city would often times deceive the people and turn them against Paul. But most of the time they would grab Paul and throw him in prison. Some times they would scourge him beat him and throw him in prison. One time he was stoned and dragged out of the city thinking he was dead.

Now the main issue that Paul had, was the priest, and the Sadducess. The reason why, was because they would go to each city that they found Paul in, and revolt the people against Paul.

The main event that Paul went through was when he was being jugged in Jerusalem. When the jug found out that Paul was a Roman, they sent him on a ship to be jugged at Rome.

Unfortunately there was a storm, and they had to run the ship aground, all where saved. upon arriving the people of that island made a fire and Paul wanting to help out gathered some wood.

And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. 4And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. 5And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. 6Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.” Acts 28: 3-6 KJV

He does get to Rome and stays there two years. This is a very general things that happened to Paul. There is a lot more, and I would recommend Reading Acts for your selves to find out more. Thank you for reading!
